Paul Trollope confirmed as Brighton and Hove Albion's new assistant manager

Brighton have appointed Paul Trollope as their new assistant manager.

The former Cardiff boss replaces Colin Calderwood as Chris Hughton's number two after the Scot quit to join Aston Villa last week.

Trollope, 44, previously worked with Seagulls manager Hughton at Birmingham and Norwich.

Hughton said: "I'm delighted to be working with Paul again.
