Tomer Hemed has signed a two-year contract extension with Brighton, keeping him at the Amex Stadium until 2019.
The 30-year-old, who began his career in Israel with Maccabi Haifa, signed for Brighton from La Liga side Almeria in 2015 after a spell with Mallorca.
After making his debut for Albion against Nottingham Forest in August 2015, Hemed has gone on to make 97 appearances for the club, scoring 33 times.
During his short spell in the Premier League, Hemed's crucial goals against Newcastle and West Brom have helped ensure Brighton sit in eighth place after eleven games, with 15 points.
After firing his side to a 1-0 victory over Newcastle, the Israel international was handed a retrospective ban by the FA for a stamp on DeAndre Yedlin.
Before his side's game against Stoke on Monday, live on Sky Sports Premier League, Brighton boss Chris Hughton was full of praise for his striker.
Hughton said, "Tomer has been brilliant for the club since we signed him in 2015. He has scored crucial goals in both the Championship and Premier League in his time here.
"He was a key player for us in our promotion-winning season, and this season he has made the step up to the Premier League. We have all been absolutely delighted with his contribution, and this new contract is hard earned and well deserved."
