Nottingham Forest's Dorus de Vries produces a save out the top draw to stop Brighton scoring

The new campaign has only just begun, and already we have a contender for save of the season from Brighton’s home game with Nottingham Forest.

With the Championship game heading into first-half injury time and the two sides still locked together at 0-0, the visitors’ Dutch goalkeeper Dorus de Vries produced a stunning reflex stop to keep his team on level terms.

Brighton’s Solly March curled in an inviting right-wing centre which forward Tomer Hemed got his head to, and the Israel international must surely have thought he had given Brighton the lead.

However, De Vries somehow stuck out a hand and prevented Hemed’s close-range effort from ending up in the back of the net, much to everyone’s amazement in the Amex Stadium.
