Bournemouth in talks for Brentford defender Chris Mepham

Bournemouth are in advanced talks with Brentford over a deal for centre-back Chris Mepham, according to Sky sources.
The Cherries failed with a £5.5m bid for the 21-year-old in January 2018 before returning with a £10m offer last summer, which was also rejected.
Sky sources understand Mepham is keen to move to the Vitality Stadium this month.
Mepham is the first successful graduate of Brentford's B team, which is the only one of its kind in England since the club replaced their academy in 2016.
The Wales international has made 22 appearances in the Championship this season but has not played since the 1-0 win over Bolton on December 22 due to an ankle injury.
Southampton had also been tracking Mepham, along with Brentford team-mate Ollie Watkins, but Sky Sports News understands the Saints will not rival Bournemouth for the signing.
