Cherries end search for Quinn's successor

Bournemouth have ended their search for a new manager by appointing Eddie Howe on a permanent basis. The Cherries have been without a boss since parting company with Jimmy Quinn on New Year's Eve. Howe has been in caretaker charge of the League Two strugglers since Quinn's departure, but he has been unable to steer the club out of the relegation zone. However, Bournemouth's new board, which took over hours before Quinn's exit, have backed Howe to succeed at Dean Court. The 31-year-old - who becomes the youngest manager in the Football League - now faces the tough task of avoiding relegation.
