Stephen Darby released by Bradford following play-off final defeat

Bradford have released club captain Stephen Darby following their Sky Bet League One play-off final defeat to Millwall.

Darby, who made 194 appearances for Bradford during his five years at Valley Parade, will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of June.

Goalkeeper Joe Cracknell and defender James King have also been released by the Bantams.

Bradford have offered new deals to goalkeeper Rouven Sattelmaier, defenders James Meredith, Rory McArdle, Matthew Kilgallon, Tony McMahon and midfielder Mark Mashall.

Defenders Kevin Toner, Matthew Penney, midfielder Josh Cullen and forwards Alex Gilliead, Jordy Hiwula have returned to their parent clubs following the conclusion of their loan deals.
