Dale sign keeper
ROCHDALE have eased their goalkeeping worries with the capture of Neil Bennett from Bradford.
With Neil Edwards being a fitness doubt for the remainder of the season, Dale boss Paul Simpson wanted cover for Matthew Gilks.
Bradford`s decision to release Bennett alerted Simpson, and he has signed a deal until the end of the season.
Commenting on the deal, Simpson said: "Because of the uncertainty over Neil Edwards' fitness, and the fact he may require a small operation, I felt it was important we brought somebody in to act as cover for Matthew Gilks
"Any operation on Neil is only likely to be minor, but it means he is very unlikely to play again this season
"We have a lot of games coming up in a short space of time, and I want to make sure we have adequate cover in each position."
