Substitute Michael Jacobs earned Chesterfield a first Sky Bet League Two victory at Holker Street for 60 years to end rejuvenated Barrow's five-match unbeaten run.
Jacobs had been on the pitch for only eight minutes when his shot deflected off Ben Jackson for his first goal since February 2024.
