Super-sub Paul Mullin scored a 90th-minute winner to earn Alex Bruce his first victory at the Rotherham helm after beating Chesterfield 2-1 at a noisy New York Stadium in the first league meeting in 13 years.
The Millers went ahead after 12 minutes when Ewan Otoo floated a ball over the top of the Chesterfield rearguard and Fabio Tavares kept his nerve to round goalkeeper Ryan Boot and roll the ball into the unguarded net.
It was then a tale of two spot-kicks. Tom Bradshaw had his first-half penalty for the hosts saved by Boot after George McEachran clipped the heels of the striker in the box.

The Spireites looked to have earned a share of the spoils with two minutes to go when Sonny Aljofree felled sub Fraser Bryden in the area and Liam Mandeville calmly wrong-footed Ted Cann.
There was further drama to come, however, when Mullin took advantage of Jack Simpson's slip on a slick surface, and the ex-Wrexham forward wrote his own Hollywood script by racing away before slotting home with a classy finish.
