Defender wants to play his part in Chesterfield's promotion bid
Chesterfield's veteran defender Robert Page insists he is happy to wait for his chance in the first team this season.
The 36-year-old made his first league appearance of the season as a late substitute in the Spireites' recent 2-1 defeat to Oxford United.
However, the Welsh centre-half understands why he has not been starting games and that he is still keen to play a part in the club's bid for promotion from League Two this season.
"I'm 36 years old now and the gaffer told me last season when I was kept on that I wouldn't be featuring in every game," Page told

Can't grumble
"So, that has helped because I knew that I wouldn't be a regular this season, but I'm still a professional that wants to be playing football.
"I've been in the game 20 years and I still want to play football, so it is frustrating to be left out, but it hasn't been a surprise.
"The boys have been playing well too, with an incredible start to the season, so I can't grumble too much.
"There will probably be a time when the gaffer needs to rotate his squad and use players that haven't been playing regularly and when that time comes I have to be ready to impress."
