Rotherham loanee Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe is open to the possibility of staying in South Yorkshire.
The 26-year-old is nearing the end of his month-long switch from Premier League Norwich and has impressed in his first three appearances for the Millers.
The Belgium international scored his first goal in English football by putting his new side ahead in Saturday's 2-1 win over Cardiff - a game where Steve Evans' side broke their duck for the season - but his stay ends after this weekend's trip to Birmingham, just as he is hotting up.
And Odjidja-Ofoe is keen for discussions over his short-term future to start.
He said: "It's good for me to play games. I feel really well. My body is feeling really good.
"I think it isn't easy if you haven't played a lot to play Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday. But my body is responding very well.
"I knew I had a good pre-season so I'm finding my best level. Game by game, it's going better and better.
"I feel happy that I can help the manager who brought me here and we will see what the future brings. Everybody has to sit around the table and we have to discuss what's happening and how it's going."
Evans added: "It's up to (Norwich boss) Alex Neil, isn't it?" he said. "Of course I'll ask the question. Vadis is an outstanding footballer. He's a young man who's loving being here."
Evans' relationship with both Neil, who he has a good friendship with, and Odjidja-Ofoe could stand the Millers in good stead, with the Belgian enjoying Evans' passion.
"He's a character. I met him last season when we played Rotherham," he said. "He was shouting down the line, and that's how I got to know him. He's a lovely man and he's very passionate about his football and his team.
"You can only encourage that. He made me feel really welcome. As soon as I met him, the first day, he was joking with me and trying to make me feel at home. That helps.
"Some managers are maybe a little bit focused on the job and they don't talk a lot. But he's very outspoken and makes you feel welcome.
"I'm glad we have a manager like that. If you do something good, he will praise you. If you do something bad, he will also tell you. That's a good thing. You know where you stand and what you have to do."
Meanwhile, Evans has not been so pleasant to a section of the club's supporters who criticised his side's start to the season, branding them "numpties".
The Millers registered just two points from their opening seven Championship games before they finally came good against the Bluebirds on Saturday.
Evans has faced the first real criticism of his three-and-a-half-year tenure and he has not taken to it too kindly.
"We're getting people fitter, so the numpties out there - the few of them who moan and groan - want to realise that it takes a little bit of time when we bring players together to get a style and a pattern and to get everyone fit and sharp," he said.
