Brentford manager Mark Warburton has said that he is not going to sign a defender until January.
Warburton had been looking to reinforce his backline in the summer, but decided against it.
The Bees boss still has the chance to recruit a defender as the loan period is active, but he has faith in his current squad to deliver in the Championship.
"If we go out and bring in another defender now, what are we saying to the guys we've already got here?” Warburton told GetWestLondon. “There are six defenders for four starting spots.
"At right-back we have Alan McCormack, Nico Yennaris and Mo [Odubajo], so we've got options. On the left we have Jake Bidwell, Nico and Tony Craig.
"Then in the middle there's Tarky [James Tarkowski], Tony and Harlee Dean, plus Kevin O'Connor and Alan McCormack if there was an emergency.
"We don't need another body at the moment, but if we get an injury or suspension we'll have to review it."
