Mansfield remain without Mal Benning for the home game against Wycombe but the defender's knee injury is not as bad as first feared.

The left-back suffered damage to his posterior cruciate ligament in the 2-1 defeat against Bristol Rovers on October 17, but manager Adam Murray has confirmed the 21-year-old will not require surgery and could be back by January.

Blair Adams, on loan from Notts County, will continue to deputise for Benning, but Krystian Pearce will serve the final game of his three-match ban.

Murray has no fresh injury concerns following last weekend's 0-0 draw with Portsmouth.

Wycombe goalkeeper Matt Ingram faces a late fitness test ahead of the game.

Ingram missed last week's home draw against Carlisle due to a thigh problem and Alex Lynch will retain his place in goal if he is not fit to play.

Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth recalled Aaron Pierre to his starting line-up against Carlisle after the defender had been dropped for turning up late to a team meeting the previous week and he should continue.
