Month-long contract for midfielder
Former Port Vale midfielder Levi Reid has signed a short-term contract with Macclesfield Town.
Reid has been training with the League Two club in pre-season and has earned a month-long deal.
His brother Izak is alreday on the Moss Rose books and the elder Reid has been challenged to secure a longer contract.
"Levi has good pedigree, has impressed in training and played well when he has come on in games so far," manager Ian Brightwell told the club's official website.
"I think he's worth a month and it's up to him to get it extended."
Reid made almost 50 appearances during his time with Port Vale and has recently been playing non-league football with Stafford Rangers.
