Grimsby Town have handed a trial to Guyana international midfielder Shawn Beveney.
The 27-year-old featured for the Mariners in their 4-2 reserves defeat to Rotherham on Wednesday.
Beveney is currently a free agent following non-contract stints with Lewes and Dulwich Hamlet.
He operates in midfield for his country, although he is also capable of playing up front.
It remains to be seen whether Beveney impressed enough to earn a contract offer from manager Mike Newell.
