Defender Laurence Wilson is doubtful for Morecambe's Sky Bet League 2 clash with Northampton with a calf injury.
Wilson did not feature at Yeovil last week, meaning manager Jim Bentley again had to shuffle his back line after a number of issues this season.
Shaun Beeley also remains on the sidelines with a hamstring problem.
Captain Peter Murphy is making progress in his recovery from a knee injury but is still some way off a return to action.
The Cobblers are without midfielder Jason Taylor as he begins a four-match suspension for his sending-off in last week's defeat of Oxford.
Manager Chris Wilder claimed Taylor was "unlucky" to be dismissed for an off-the-ball incident last weekend but decided not to appeal.
Taylor has joined a lengthy list of absentees that includes long-term injury victims Zander Diamond, Brendan Moloney, Evan Horwood and Ricky Holmes.
Wilder is still unsure when any of the quartet will be back in action.
