Reece Hutchinson's stoppage-time thunderbolt ensured Crewe a share of the spoils from a 2-2 draw with Walsall.
Aaron Pressley's double looked to have sent Walsall to the summit of League Two, until the late drama at the Mornflake Stadium.
Crewe threatened early on when Walsall keeper Jed Ward did well to palm away Charlie O'Neill's header from a Hutchinson cross and Lewis Billington skied the follow-up.

A barnstorming run from Walsall full-back Mason Hancock, which left home defenders backtracking, promised more than it delivered.
Yet the Saddlers edged ahead after Charlie Crew's cross was handled inside the box by Josh Stephenson. Pressley sent Booth the wrong way with the resulting penalty in the 42nd minute.
Crewe levelled soon after the break as Josh March showed a neat touch when latching onto a ball from Joel Tabiner and then drove into the corner of the net.
It did not take long for Lee Grant's side to re-establish their lead, with Pressley rising to plant a 57th-minute header into the corner of the net from Reece Smith's cross after a free-kick routine on the right.
Pressley threatened again soon after when he glanced a header wide of the far post.
Crewe responded strongly and Calum Agius went close twice, skewing an effort into the side netting and shooting just past the far corner.
But in stoppage time Hutchinson drove a powerful effort home from the edge of the box to level matters.
