MK Dons have signed former Cardiff striker Nicky Maynard.
Maynard, 28, who left Cardiff in the summer, has put pen to paper on a contract which runs to the end of the season.
Dons manager Karl Robinson told the club's official website: "I'm really pleased we have got him and I think the fans will be pleased that we can get players of his quality through the door - it shows again, as a football club, what we can achieve.
"With Nicky we were firm from the word go with what we could offer and initially it was a shock for him and his people.
"They had to go away and think about it but I'm delighted he's decided to sign."
Maynard, who could make his debut in Wednesday's home Capital One Cup tie against Southampton, spent pre-season with Nottingham Forest and has been training with the Dons for two weeks.
His other former clubs include Crewe, Bristol City and West Ham, who he left to join Cardiff in a B#2.5million deal in the summer of 2012. He also had a loan spell with Wigan at the end of the 2013-14 season.
Maynard made only six league starts for Cardiff, but has an impressive goalscoring record of just over one every three games.
