MK Dons' latest signing Ed Upson is grateful to have found a new club so soon after his release from Millwall.
The 26-year-old midfielder, one of seven players let go by the Lions following their Sky Bet League 1 play-off final defeat to Barnsley, signed a two-year deal with the Dons on Friday.
"When you're out of contract and you don't know where you're going to be for the next 12 months, it can be a stressful time," Upson told the club's official website.
"I'm grateful to the Dons for showing such interest in me to get it done early. It's something I'm really pleased with because I was just as interested to come here."
Upson, manager Karl Robinson's first summer signing, added: "I've admired the club for a long time now. I know a few of the boys and the manager has spoken nicely to me and about me.
"Everyone is really positive and ambitious and I'm just looking to get into the team and make my mark.
"I'm really looking forward to next season - I can't wait to get going."
