Dan Micciche leaves MK Dons with club six points adrift of safety

League One strugglers MK Dons have parted company with manager Dan Micciche.
The Dons have endured a tough campaign and are currently 23rd in the table. six points adrift of safety, following a 4-0 defeat at Southend on Saturday.
And Micciche has now departed having only been appointed in January. His assistant Keith Millen will be in charge for the last three games of the season.
The MK Dons website reported: "The mutual decision, made with a heavy heart, comes after discussions between the Chairman (Pete Winkelman) and Micciche."
Micciche was Head of Academy Coaching at MK Dons earlier in his career and he said: "This is a club that means a lot to me and my family, and I put every ounce of effort into the job.
"Unfortunately, the fine margins have gone against us and it hasn't worked out in the way we would have wanted.
"I am extremely grateful to the board, staff, players and fans for their tremendous support during my time here.
"It has been an honour to manage this football club and I would love nothing more than to see it get back to where it belongs."
Chairman Pete Winkelman said: "I am grateful to Dan for his dedication to the role during this testing period in our history and I sincerely wish him the very best for the future."
