Striker to finalise move on Monday after leaving Southend
Lincoln City have agreed a deal to sign Scott Spencer after the striker's contract was cancelled by League Two rivals Southend United.
Spencer joined the Shrimpers 12 months ago and was brought to Roots Hall by current Lincoln manager Steve Tilson.
However, the 22-year-old has struggled to make an impression under Tilson's successor Paul Sturrock this season and has not played since September.
Southend have now agreed to a mutual cancellation of the forward's contract and he is set to be reunited with Tilson at Sincil Bank.
Spencer has accepted a contract until the end of the season, with the option of a further 12 months, and will finalise the transfer on Monday.
