Shrewsbury deserve spot in play-off final, says boss Paul Hurst

Paul Hurst believes his Shrewsbury deserve their place in the League One play-off final after seeing off Charlton.
Carlton Morris scored the only goal in the second leg at New Meadow on Sunday, steering them to a 2-0 aggregate win after Jon Nolan's strike had settled the first game on Thursday night.
"I think we've got the better set of players and we've proved that [this season] by beating them three times out of four," Hurst told Sky Sports. "Charlton had a really good spell in the first half, but there were a few harsh words at half-time and I think we got on top of them and then we delivered. For me we were the better team.
"I'm very proud of them but we've not achieved promotion yet, there's still one more to go. Commiserations to Charlton and Lee [Bowyer] and his players, I've been in that position and it's not nice. They gave us two tough games."
Shrewsbury, who have already lost at Wembley this season after being beaten by Lincoln in the Checkatrade Trophy final last month, will face either Rotherham or Scunthorpe in the final on Sunday, May 27.
Those two sides are locked at 2-2 ahead of their second leg in Rotherham on Wednesday night, and either way Hurst will be coming up against a familiar face having played alongside both managers, Paul Warne and Nick Daws, during a 15-year-old career with the Millers.
"I can't say that [I want to play Rotherham] really," said Hurst. "I've got a lot of friends there, and there are people on my street who are Rotherham fans!
"[Paul] Warne and his staff have done a great job and it would be great to see them at Wembley, but I also played with [Scunthorpe boss] Nick Daws. Either way there'll be a familiar face and I'll be watching on Wednesday to see who we play."
