Peterborough United have recalled defender Danny Andrew from his loan spell at Cheltenham Town.

Yates thanks Peterborough for letting defender stay on loan

Peterborough United have recalled young defender Danny Andrew from his loan spell at Cheltenham Town. Andrew joined the League Two club in January and he has made 10 appearances during his time with Mark Yates' side. However, with the Robins now virtually safe from relegation from the Football League, he has been summoned back to Peterborough. He may now be involved in the Posh's final two Championship games of the season and Cheltenham boss Yates confirmed Andrew's return to London Road. "Danny has done very well for us, but I think Peterborough want him to spend some time around their first-team squad before the end of the season," Yates told the club's official website. "They waited until we were virtually safe from relegation before making the recall and I would like to thank Peterborough for letting us have him and Danny for his contribution over the last few weeks."
