Newly-promoted Grimsby have signed defender Dan Jones on a one-year contract following his release by Hartlepool.
The 21-year-old was let go by Pools at the end of the season after making 37 league appearances for the club having come through their academy.
Jones is manager Paul Hurst's second signing of the week after the club welcomed midfielder Sean McAllister to Blundell Park on a two-year deal on Thursday.
