Mariners release Croudson

More from Football

GRIMSBY have released goalkeeper Steve Croudson as they prepare for life in Division Two next season.

Croudson failed to make a first-team appearance this season after suffering a serious shoulder injury which it was feared would end his career.

Welsh international Danny Coyne has the number one shirt at Blundell Park and Town player-manager Paul Groves has decided to let him go.

The 22-year-old admitted he was disappointed to leave the club.

"I found out that I have no future at the club and I'm very disappointed," Croudson told the club's official website.
