Defender Bondz N'Gala has left Barnet to become Vanarama National League side Eastleigh's record signing.

The 27-year-old initially joined the Bees, for whom he made 10 Sky Bet League Two appearances this season, on loan from Stevenage in 2012-13 before re-signing for them on a permanent deal in 2014 after departing Portsmouth.

He signed a new contract with Martin Allen's Barnet over the summer that ran to the end of 2016-17, with the option of a further 12 months, but on Tuesday it emerged he had made the switch to  Eastleigh.

Neither Barnet nor Eastleigh disclosed the fee as they announced the transfer, but Eastleigh said it was a club record. N'Gala goes straight into the Spitfires' squad for Tuesday's match at Aldershot.
