Tuesday 1 September 2026 22:42, UK
Early season League Two pacesetters Barnet were held to a 1-1 draw in an entertaining encounter at Exeter.
Barnet thought they had taken an eighth-minute lead when Danny Collinge hooked the ball over his shoulder and into the net from close range, but he was ruled offside.
After Exeter lost the impressive Andrew Oluwabori through injury, Reece Cole forced a brilliant save from Matthew Cox with a 25-yard free-kick and Cox again came to Barnet's rescue to keep out another Cole free-kick just before half-time.

Jake Gordon blasted a great chance over the bar at the start of the second half for Exeter - and it proved costly as with their first real chance on the hour mark, Barnet scored. Jack Bycroft made a good save to deny Kabongo Tshimanga but the ball fell kindly for Idris Kanu, who rolled it into an empty net from 18 yards.
Seven minutes later, though, Exeter were level as Gwion Edwards broke free down the right and picked out Cole who finished from 10 yards.
Both teams had chances to win it in an end-to-end encounter with Edwards putting the ball in the net deep into stoppage time for Exeter, but their joy was short-lived as the linesman had flagged for an offside in the build-up.
