Judge dismisses winding-up order against Bury by HMRC

A judge in a specialist court has dismissed a bid by the taxman to wind up Sky Bet League Two club Bury.
Judge Sally Barber dismissed a winding-up petition at a Companies Court hearing in London on Wednesday after HM Revenue and Customs representatives said a debt had been paid.
No detail of the amount that Bury owed emerged at the hearing.
Judge Barber was told that two companies were owed about £27,000 in total by Bury and a lawyer representing those companies indicated a further, separate, winding up application could be made.
The judge scheduled another hearing for March 13.
Bury are currently third in the League Two table - 16 points behind leaders Lincoln City - and visit Morecambe on Saturday.
