Sullay Kaikai had time to pick a pass across goal which fell into the path of unchallenged defender James Gibbons, who blasted home past Wright.
Ten minutes after half-time James Brophy freed Kaikai on the left but his effort was pushed away by Wright, though Kaikai did make it 2-0 on the hour when he nodded Mayor's cross in from close range.
Accrington offered virtually no threat, their biggest chances coming 17 minutes from time as Conor Grant's free-kick was deflected wide and then Dan Martin's powerful effort was blocked.
