Boston United have completed the signing of Chester City utility man Stephen Vaughan.

Boston United have completed the signing of Chester City utility man Stephen Vaughan.

Vaughan has put pen-to-paper on a deal until the end of the season after productive talks with Boston boss Steve Evans.

Impressed with the player's versatility, Evans is confident he has landed a player that will strengthen his squad in several positions.

"Stephen is a talented young player," Evans told the club's official website.

"He can fulfil a number of roles so in a small squad, his signing will be a major boost.

"I have watched Stephen play on a number of occasions and for somebody who is only 21 he has plenty of experience in League Two.

"I am delighted to have him on board."

Meanwhile, Boston have also completed the signing of Chesterfield's Shane Nicholson on a month's loan.
