Morgaro Gomis has joined Motherwell on loan until the end of the season from Hearts.
The midfielder was ever-present in the Jambos title-winning campaign in 2015 and has featured 21 times in the top flight this season.
Gomis, a Senegal international, spent several years in the English lower leagues before moving to Cowdenbeath in 2006.
The 30-year-old signed for Dundee United under Craig Levein in 2007. He played nearly 200 games in four years for the Terrors and won the Scottish Cup in 2010.
His standout performances saw him move move to Birmingham City in 2011 but after a short stay with the Blues, he returned to Dundee United in 2013.
He played 23 times for United before being reunited with Levein at Tannadice.
Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson told the club website: "Morgaro is at the stage where he wants to play regular first-team football every Saturday and with the depth of our squad it was something I couldn't guarantee,"
Motherwell defender Craig Reid, who last appeared for the club last February and spent time on loan at St Mirren towards the end of the year, has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent.
