Airdrieonians have confirmed head coach Eddie Wolecki Black is recovering in hospital after suffering a stroke on Saturday.
The 50-year-old fell seriously ill during the half-time interval of his side's 3-1 Scottish League One victory over Cowdenbeath.
Wolecki Black was taken by ambulance to Kirkcaldy's Victoria Hospital where tests confirmed that he had suffered a stroke in the dressing-room.
He was subsequently transferred to a specialised stroke unit at Edinburgh's Western General Hospital where his condition has stabilised and he is now recuperating.
"In the fullness of time we look forward to seeing him back in the job he loves but for now all that matters is his return to good health," Diamonds chairman Tom Wotherspoon told the club's official website.
"Over the weekend we have been inundated by kind messages of support from throughout the coaching community and Scottish football as a whole that have shown how highly Eddie is regarded.
"We would like to thank everyone who contacted us, coaches and players, fans of our own club and supporters of others, and we will pass on all of the good wishes to Eddie in due course."
