Police Scotland have made four more arrests as part of their ongoing investigation into trouble at the Scottish Cup final.

The latest arrests, which takes the total number to 38, centres around the trouble following the end of Hibernian's 3-2 victory over Rangers at Hampden Park on May 21.

Hundreds of Hibs supporters streamed onto the pitch at the final whistle after an injury-time goal from David Gray ended their 114-year wait to win the trophy, and they were joined on the playing surface by a number of Rangers fans.

On Thursday, Police Scotland officers attending a number of addresses in the Glasgow, Renfrewshire and Edinburgh areas, arrested four men aged 23, 24, 46 and 50, for alleged assaults and disorder. They are presently being detained in police custody.

Detective Superintendent Kenny Graham who is leading the investigation, said: "This investigation is extensive and involves a significant number of people.

"My officers remain committed to identifying and arresting those involved in the violence and disorder that occurred on 21 May.

"As our investigation progresses, there will be further arrests and continued police action to track down those responsible.

"I would ask if anyone has any information or knowledge about people involved or for anyone with information, including footage or images, to contact us."
