Ian Crocker and Andy Walker's Premiership predictor
Friday 16 December 2016 12:32, UK
The midweek Scottish Premiership double header was reduced to just the one match after Aberdeen’s fixture with Motherwell was abandoned due to a floodlight failure.
It meant Aberdeen were unable to close the gap on second-placed Rangers with their game in hand as Motherwell missed out on a chance to start the weekend in the top six.
There's a full card of Scottish Premiership games on this weekend, with Rangers travelling to Hamilton Accies on Friday and the other five matches kicking off at 3pm on Saturday.
Andy Walker and Ian Crocker are here to give you their predictions and players to watch this weekend.
Hamilton Accies v Rangers - Friday 7.45pm
Hamilton's draw at Ibrox on the opening day of the season is the only time in the last 10 league meetings between the clubs they have managed to take anything from the game.
Accies have drawn eight of their last 11 matches while Rangers are looking to put three Premiership wins together for the first time this season.
Andy Walker's prediction:
Hamilton Accies 0-1 Rangers
Key player: James Tavernier
Mark Warburton using the former full-back in a more advanced midfield role can help Rangers drive forward.
Ian Crocker's prediction:
Hamilton Accies 0-2 Rangers
Key player: Barrie McKay
Quiet season so far but perhaps he's ready to make a noise.
Celtic v Dundee - Saturday 3pm
Celtic are unbeaten in the Premiership this season but their record against Saturday's visitors extends further back as they have not lost to Dundee in the last 24 league encounters.
Dundee have scored the second fewest amount of away goals this season with just five and are up against the best defence in the league. Celtic have conceded just 12 times in 15 games so far.
Andy Walker's prediction:
Celtic 3-0 Dundee
Key player: Jozo Simunovic
Croatian defender almost moved to Torino in the summer but has since established himself as a dominant figure at the heart of Celtic defence.
Ian Crocker's prediction:
Celtic 3-0 Dundee
Key player: Stuart Armstrong
Another player enjoying life immensely under Brendan Rodgers.
Hearts v Partick Thistle - Saturday 3pm
Hearts will be looking for their first win under new boss Ian Cathro in his first match in charge at Tynecastle. He may look to Don Cowie to provide as the midfielder has more assists in the Premiership than any other player so far this season (5).
Partick Thistle sit bottom of the table after a run of four defeat in five games and have failed to score in four of their last six visits to Tynecastle.
Andy Walker's prediction:
Hearts 4-0 Partick Thistle
Key player: Faycal Rherras
Belgian born Moroccan defender can still improve and help his team challenge for European football.
Ian Crocker's prediction:
Hearts 3-2 Partick Thistle
Key player: Jamie Walker
Capable of unlocking a few doors, whether creating or scoring.
Kilmarnock v Inverness CT - Saturday 3pm
Kilmarnock will record their first back-to-back home Premiership wins for the first time since March 2015 if they come out on top against Richie Foran's Inverness on Saturday.
Inverness haven't won in six Premiership matches, losing four of those, and currently sit in the relegation play-off spot.
Andy Walker's prediction:
Kilmarnock 2-2 Inverness CT
Key player: Gary Dicker
Has plenty of experience that can help Kilmarnock climb the table.
Ian Crocker's prediction:
Kilmarnock 1-0 Inverness CT
Key player: Rory McKenzie
He's been a recent goal threat. Can he deliver again?
Ross County v Aberdeen - Saturday 3pm
The last two games between these sides have both ended 4-0, with a win for each team at Pittodrie either side of the summer break.
Liam Boyce has scored over half of Ross County's goals this season and is the joint-top scorer along with Scott Sinclair in the Scottish Premiership with nine goals.
Andy Walker's prediction:
Ross County 1-2 Aberdeen
Key player: Nial McGinn
In and out of the starting line-up recently but can always make the difference for an Aberdeen side still to find their best form.
Ian Crocker's prediction:
Ross County 0-1 Aberdeen
Key player: Adam Rooney
Might be due a goal!
St Johnstone v Motherwell - Saturday 3pm
Motherwell's last three meetings with St Johnstone have all ended in a 2-1 defeat with Steven MacLean and Danny Swanson scoring a goal apiece in the two most recent fixtures.
Motherwell striker Louis Moult has eight Premiership goals this season and has scored with three quarters of his shots on target (8 out of 12).
Andy Walker's prediction:
St Johnstone 2-1 Motherwell
Key player: Danny Swanson
Having a wonderful goalscoring season and keeping Tommy Wright`s men comfortably in the top half of the table.
Ian Crocker's prediction:
St Johnstone 1-1 Motherwell
Key player: Scott McDonald
Still buzzing about, putting a shift in. A menace.
