Highlights from Celtic's 4-0 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Premiership

Celtic moved 27 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a 4-0 victory at Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Wednesday evening.

Moussa Dembele scored two second-half goals - the first after a howler from goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams - to add to Scott Sinclair's opener and Stuart Armstrong's free-kick as the Scottish champions extended their incredible unbeaten domestic run this season to 33 matches.

The result moves Brendan Rodgers' side to within seven points of the title and they could seal the trophy as early as Sunday April 2 when they travel to Hearts, live on Sky Sports.

Inverness are the only team to have taken points off Celtic this season - the only league game they haven't won was a 2-2 draw at the Caledonian Stadium in September - and the home side made the champions work hard during the first half.

But the Scottish Premiership's bottom side were finally undone by a moment of brilliance from Sinclair as he opened the scoring in style.

After a frustrating 43 minutes for Celtic, the forward gathered the ball and stayed on his feet despite being fouled by Ross Draper, running at the defence before curling a brilliant goal past Fon Williams from 20 yards.

The first goal was brilliant, but the second was farcical as the Inverness goalkeeper gifted Celtic another just 11 seconds after the interval.

From their own kick-off, Inverness worked the ball back to Fon Williams, who sliced his kick, presenting the ball to the charging Dembele, who chipped it over his head and volleyed into an empty net.

The third came on 66 minutes when Dembele was chopped down by Louis Liang 25 yards from goal and Armstrong curled a fine free-kick beyond the despairing goalkeeper.

And Dembele scored his second of the night seven minutes later when Kieran Tierney lifted a ball over the top and found the in-form striker in space. The Frenchman needed just two touches before showing great composure to lift the ball over Fon Williams.

One incident in the game angered Inverness manager Richie Foran

Dembele scored a hat-trick against Inverness in the Scottish Cup last month, but could not repeat that feat against a side who remain two points adrift of Motherwell at the bottom of the table.

Celtic will now seek to extend their unbeaten domestic run at home to St Mirren in the Scottish Cup on Sunday before continuing their title charge at home to Rangers a week later with both games live on Sky Sports.
