Bobby Madden to referee Celtic v Rangers in Scottish Premiership
Tuesday 7 March 2017 16:08, UK
Bobby Madden will referee Celtic v Rangers in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday, live on Sky Sports.
It will be Madden's first time refereeing a match between the two teams and comes seven years after he was promoted to the FIFA list. Steven McLean, Craig Thomson and Willie Collum refereed the previous three matches this season.
Brendan Rodgers' side go into the game 33 points ahead of the visitors and have won all three derby meetings this season.
Moussa Dembele scored a hat-trick in the 5-1 Premiership victory in September and the French U21 striker also scored the winner in the League Cup semi-final at Hampden. Celtic came from behind to claim a 2-1 win at Ibrox on Hogmanay.
In all those matches, Rangers were under the care of Mark Warburton. Graeme Murty has fulfilled the role of interim manager for the past five games, since the former's departure last month, and will be in charge again on Sunday lunchtime.
