Celtic winger Scott Sinclair does not believe Friday's meeting with Aberdeen will have a major bearing on the Scottish Cup final.

The top two teams in the Premiership are meeting for the fifth time this season, 15 days before their Hampden encounter.

Celtic have won all four matches so far but with the league won and Aberdeen having all but wrapped up second place short of a freak run of results, there is a lot less riding on the Pittodrie match.

Sinclair said: "The league is a completely different game to a cup game.

"When you are in a cup game, it's everything, you both have to go for it and nobody is going to sit back - and it will probably be end to end.

"But in the league it can be a much different game. I wouldn't look too much into Friday night.

"Obviously that would be a fantastic season if we do that but up until now we have taken every game as it comes and hopefully we just keep on doing that with the winning mentality and our character and we stay calm and go into every game like it's our last," Sinclair added.
