Hamilton boss Martin Canning eyes vital win over Ross County

Hamilton boss Martin Canning says a win over Ross County this weekend could have a massive bearing on their fight to avoid relegation.
The Accies are three points clear of their next opponents, who are bottom of the Premiership, and just two ahead of Partick Thistle, who currently occupy the play-off spot, after a run of six defeats in a row.
Both Canning and Hamilton have been in this position before, with the club only avoiding relegation last season after they beat Dundee United in the Premiership play-off final, and his experience in this situation could be crucial as he believes a win on Saturday, live on Sky Sports, would be vital.
"The lesson you learn is that things can change so quickly on one result," he told Sky Sports News.
"If you look at the last couple of results for us, obviously we haven't done well in terms of the run of form we are on but if you go and win on Saturday then it is a potentially bigger gap and everything seems rosy.
"That's the importance of this time of the year when you are playing against your direct competitors in terms of the teams that are down there with you.
"A win is obviously magnified and becomes so important."

He added: "At this stage when it is this tight every game is so important. It is important for me to make sure the players stay relaxed and they look forward to the games.
"We know they are going to be competitive, we know there is going to be a lot riding on them but if you can relax and play you can get a little bit more out of yourself and hopefully go and enjoy the game."
County appointed Steven Ferguson and Stuart Kettlewell as joint managers on a permanent basis earlier this week after they originally took the reins temporarily following Owen Coyle's resignation in March.
Canning has hailed that decision and does not think having two bosses will provide problems.
"I think it is a good appointment. I know both of them and played with Fergie up there years ago when I was younger," he said. "I know how passionate they are about the club, they care about the club.
"I think both of them are level-headed and intelligent guys. They'll know their way of working and have been working this way for the past six weeks or so now and they'll know the way they want to go and work ahead."
