Bhoys midfielder says league leaders are the favourites
Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley insists Rangers are the favourites in the Old Firm meeting at Parkhead.
The teams go head-to-head on Wednesday night and a win for the Bhoys would see them move top of the SPL table.
Celtic come into the game having won eight in a row in league action while the leaders have lost twice in four games.
Despite the contrasting form, Wales international Ledley insists it is Neil Lennon's side who are the underdogs.
Underdogs
"No. Obviously we are second, we are underdogs," commented Ledley. "They are top of the league by one point.
"We are at home which is a bit of an advantage but it doesn't matter if we are favourites or underdogs, we just want to go out there and play our game and hopefully win.
"We knew it was going to be difficult to get the points back.
"We knew we had to win every game and needed them to slip up and they have a couple of times.
"But they are still a good team, they are going to be up for it and they will make it difficult for us. But we are on a good run and we want it to continue."
Appeal
Rangers have been boosted by the availability of Lee McCulloch for the match after the club appealed his dismissal against St Mirren.
Ledley understands why the Ibrox club have appealed the midfielder's red card, although he does not feel it will be overturned.
"You can understand why they're going to appeal," he continued. "You need your best players for the Old Firm game.
"You could see it was a blatant elbow but most teams would have done what Rangers are doing by launching an appeal.
"Everyone who watched the match could see it was an elbow and I knew straight away it was a red-card offence. And I thought the referee did well to see it.
"But this is football and what's happened with the appeal will be sorted out eventually."
