Kenny McDowall maintains he is happy to remain at Rangers after a meeting with the club's new hierachy brought no clarity on his future.
The Ibrox caretaker boss, who watched his side struggle in a goalless draw at Cowdenbeath, is serving a 12-month notice period after indicating his desire to leave in January.
Dave King's consortium, including Paul Murray and John Gilligan, backed by a majority of the Light Blues support, wrested control from the old board at an extraordinary general meeting at Ibrox on Friday.
McDowall, who met briefly with the new powerbrokers before the game at Central Park, said: "It was fairly short and sharp, I've not really discussed myself.
"I presume I'll speak to them again at some point but the games are coming thick and fast and the important thing is the club. I'll carry on with the team until I'm told otherwise.
"It only happened yesterday and to be fair to the new board, they have a lot on their plate. I'm here and happy to carry on doing my duties."
As to the game itself, McDowall said: "The conditions were horrendous. The pitch is shocking. Obviously the wind's difficult to play in at the best of times but there was part of that pitch where the ball doesn't even bounce.
"The guys in there, they gave a lot of effort and I can't criticise them for that, they tried to win the game but it was very difficult to play on that pitch.
"It was great news for the club on Friday and hopefully the healing can start but it's important we do our bit on the pitch and keep picking up points to keep ourselves in a play-off position if that's the only option for us to get
promotion."
King, Gilligan and Murray were all in attendance in Fife on Saturday, and the latter told Sky Sports News HQ: "It was a long time coming, it's been a long road with a few twists and turns, but great to get to the end of it. Now we have got to move forward and start building for the future."
