Celtic v Hamilton: Clash at Celtic Park falls foul of the weather
Saturday 5 December 2015 13:56, UK
Celtic’s Scottish Premiership match with Hamilton at Celtic Park has been postponed following a pitch inspection.
On Friday, the Scottish champions confirmed they had called an inspection of the playing surface for Saturday morning ahead of their clash with the Accies following heavy rainfall.
Referee Craig Thomson examined the pitch and deemed the surface unplayable, with Celtic confirming the news via their official Twitter account.
The tweet read: "Following a pitch inspection at Celtic Park this morning by referee Craig Thomson, Celtic's game against Hamilton Accies is OFF."
It is the third Scottish Premiership match to fall foul of the weather following the postponement of Hearts v Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Partick Thistle v Motherwell.
