Celtic have announced Norwegian youngster Kristoffer Ajer will join the club in June on a four-year contract.
The 17-year-old IK Start midfielder moves to Glasgow as a free agent.
He spent a week on trial at Lennoxtown in January, impressing manager and compatriot Ronny Deila enough for him to recommend the player be offered a long-term deal.
Speaking to the assembled media at Celtic Park, Ajer, who will remain with his parent club in Norway until the summer, said: "I will take my driving licence and finish my second grade of high school. I have many things to do back in Norway and I will help my team do well in the first half of the season.
"It's a great honour to sign for this club. I am only 17 years old and already I have achieved one of my biggest dreams.
"I can't wait to start here at Celtic and just develop as a player. Time will show how quickly I get into the first-team squad. I need to prove myself, to develop and to be good in training and any playing time I get. Hopefully I will play a lot. That is my goal.
"I'm a holding midfielder who likes to be on the ball and win it back again. I've had many role models that I have seen on YouTube such as Patrick Vieira. At Celtic here you have holding midfielders who are so good and I have to learn from them."
At the age of 16, Ajer became the youngest player to captain a side in the Norwegian league when he led Start in a 1-1 draw against Lillestrom last April.
