Brendan Rodgers does not believe the midweek Champions League defeat to Anderlecht will affect Celtic at Hibernian on Sunday.

The Scottish Premiership leaders travel to Easter Road on Sunday hoping to extend their domestic British unbeaten record beyond 67 games, live on Sky Sports Football.

Rodgers was critical of his team following their 1-0 loss to Anderlecht at Celtic Park but expects his players to put the disappointment from the loss behind them.

"After Champions League results - good or bad it doesn't matter - we always go into the next game with a real freshness and energy to get a good result. We've always had it," he said.

"Our overriding emotion is that it wasn't the most desirable result during the week in order to get to where we want to get to - which is the Europa League - but we got there.

"I have a brilliant group of players who are very honest and we know where we're at in terms of modern football."

Celtic and Hibernian have already met twice this season with Hibs earning a 2-2 draw at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership in September while Rodgers' side were victorious in the Scottish League Cup semi-final in October.

He said: "The two games we've played against them this season have been tough but we go into it with the confidence that if we play to our levels, it gives us a good chance."
