Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has paid tribute to Scott Brown, describing his team-mate as "like a big brother to me".
The 27-year-old also insists Celtic are capable of succeeding at home and abroad next season as they bid to improve their record in Europe.
Brown has captained Celtic to an unprecedented double treble, secured when they beat Motherwell 2-0 in the Scottish Cup final on Saturday.
The 32-year-old played the full 90 minutes at Hampden Park before taking to the field again on Sunday to play in his testimonial match against the Republic of Ireland.
Griffiths also featured in the game, and spoke afterwards about his relationship with Brown.
"I met Scott at Scotland camps before I signed here and he was brilliant", said Griffiths.
"Since I've come here he's been like a big brother to me. When times are hard he'll take me under his wing and have a quiet word in my ear.
"He's a fantastic talent. He can play on for five or six more years."
Griffiths was also bullish about Celtic's prospects in European competition next season, suggesting they would not have to forgo success at home if they wanted to progress abroad.
He said: "We can do both. We've proved that this season by staying in Europe beyond Christmas.
"That was one of our targets at the start of the season. It was obviously a difficult draw playing against Zenit St Petersburg, but who knows what would have happened if we'd got a different team in that competition."
