Celtic looking to overturn South Korean's red card
Celtic have confirmed they will appeal against Cha Du-Ri's sending off in Sunday's Old Firm defeat to Rangers.
The South Korean defender was shown a straight red card by referee Calum Murray following a challenge with Lee Wallace.
Gers were leading 1-0 when Cha was sent off and they eventually won 3-2 after the visitors staged a late comeback with nine men.
However, the SPL leaders will not appeal against the second-half dismissal of Victor Wanyama for his two-footed tackle on Steven Whittaker.
Speaking after the loss Neil Lennon commented: "The first one is not a sending off and the second is borderline probably, you can't tackle like that."
Had Celtic beaten their arch-rivals at Ibrox they would have clinched the SPL title for the first time at Ibrox since 1967.
