Stuart Armstrong admits the chance to join Celtic was "too good to turn down".
The midfielder completed his move from Dundee United when signing a three-and-a-half year contract just hours before the transfer window closed on Monday evening.
The deal was in the balance for the 22-year-old until Celtic finally matched United's valuation of the Scotland U21 star after having a number of offers rejected.
Armstrong told Celtic TV: "I'm really happy to be here. It was a great five-and-a-half years with Dundee United but this opportunity was too good to turn down.
"It's not quite sunk in. There is still a lot to think about and to get used to and I'm really looking forward to that.
"Hopefully I can provide a bit of excitement and goals going forward."The fans probably know a bit about me but I would like to show them a bit more.
"I take each game as it comes and I will aim to get off to the best possible start here and do my best for the club."
And Armstrong will be joined at Celtic Park by former Tannadice team-mate Gary Mackay-Steven, who signed on for four-and-a-half years after initially agreeing a pre-contract deal with the champions last month.
"It's amazing to finally be here and for it all to be done and dusted," he told the club's official website..
"The pre-contract happened a few weeks ago and I was delighted back then but I was unsure if it was going to be now or if I'd be joining in the summer.
"But to get it all done and dusted is great and I just can't wait to start. It was a crazy couple of hours. I wasn't sure at the start of the day whether it would go through but thankfully it did and the medical got done so it's great to sign on the dotted line.
"Everything is just a dream. I can't wait to get started. I'm just buzzing."
