Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has won the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership player of the month award.
Griffiths scored five goals in six league games in August which also earned him a Scotland call-up for the European Qualifier double-header against Georgia and Germany.
The 25-year-old has nine goals in total this season, including Champions League qualifiers, and he is focused on the opening Europa league match against Ajax in Amsterdam on Thursday.
He told the Celtic website: "It's been a great start to the season for me. I've scored a few goals and I've played well and got myself back into the Scotland fold, so hopefully I can keep that going.
"I just take each game as it comes and if I get a chance I'll just try and put it away. I've had a good start, but I know that form can dip. I just want to keep it going and hopefully I can hit the 20-goal mark again.
"Nadir (Ciftci) is back from suspension now so the gaffer's got a bit of a dilemma on his hands as to who to play up front, but if I keep scoring goals it's going to be hard for him to leave me out."
He joined the Scottish champions from Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2014, scoring 20 goals last season.
