Harry Forrester relishing Rangers' Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic

Rangers midfielder Harry Forrester is relishing the chance to play in next month's "ferocious" clash with Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final.

Mark Warburton's side will be looking to increase their Scottish Championship lead to 15 points against Morton on Friday, but much of the attention has been shifted to what will be just the second meeting between the sides in four years.

January signing Forrester concedes that he has only ever watched the encounter on television before, but is eagerly anticipating his chance to play in the game.

"I've seen them on TV, but I've never been at one. They are ferocious, aren't they? You can see what it means to the players and the fans," said the former Doncaster player.

"It's not an ordinary game of football. It means much more than that and obviously being in a semi-final, it doesn't get much bigger.

"It'll be the biggest derby I've ever played in if I get on the pitch. It's a game you want to be involved in as a footballer."

But the 25-year old, who has scored three goals in his last three games, insists all of the focus is on Morton on Friday, and says he hasn't been keeping an eye on their Glasgow rivals.

"It's a game where a lot is riding on it, not just the result at the end but it's a big occasion for the fans," added Forrester.

"But, we've got a game on Friday and we will be concentrating on Morton."

"I've not watched them [Celtic] too much to be honest with you," he said. "We're busy doing our job and we want to win the league.

"We faced Dundee in the cup at the weekend and put them to bed so it's just back to the league on Friday."
