Barrie McKay and Martyn Waghorn gave Rangers their second 2-0 win in the new Scottish League Cup group stages, this time over Annan Athletic.
McKay smashed home the opener from distance after 30 minutes before Waghorn scored the second with 15 minutes left, as Gers added to their 2-0 win over Motherwell on Saturday in Group F.
Manager Mark Warburton handed competitive debuts to summer signings Matt Gilks, Lee Hodson and Clint Hill, as the two sides continued to navigate the new competition format being part of pre-season preparations.
Another new signing, Niko Kranjcar, pulled the strings for the hosts at Ibrox, but it was Waghorn who had the first chance after just five minutes when he found space inside the box and had two attempts blocked by a defender and the 'keeper.
Hodson had a header cleared off the line from a superb Krancjar cross to the far post, before the Croatia international curled a free-kick just over the bar.
McKay then drifted inside off the left flank and bent his effort beyond Annan goalkeeper Blair Currie for the opener after half-an-hour.
Barry Cuddihy, who returned to Galabank this summer after leaving St Mirren, broke through the middle but wasted a long-range effort wide of the target, as Annan struggled to fashion a chance.
Hodson went close again just before half-time when he forced Currie to parry another shot round the post.
Annan's Rabin Omar flashed a shot just wide of Gilks' post from a free-kick just after the interval, but Kranjcar almost made it 2-0 when his shot from the right of the penalty area forced another good save from Currie.
Kranjcar was one of three players that came off on 60 minutes, along with McKay and Josh Windass, as Joey Barton took the turf with Harry Forrester and Kenny Miller.
Barton soon went close with a free kick but it was Waghorn who bagged the second when he latched onto Hodgon's neat through pass late on.
