Wednesday 12 July 2017 17:23, UK
Rangers have arranged a pre-season friendly match against Sky Bet Championship side Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Sunday, July 30.
The match, which kicks off at 3.00pm, comes just one week before Rangers open their Scottish Premiership campaign against Motherwell on Sunday August 6, live on Sky Sports.
The Ibrox club have been scrambling around for pre-season opposition after seeing their Europa League campaign come to a shuddering halt at the first hurdle as they fell to Progres Niederkorn in their opening qualifying game.
Other senior Scottish clubs are about to embark on their League Cup campaigns, leaving limited options for Pedro Caixinha north of the border.
Wednesday's squad features Scotland internationals Steven Fletcher, Jordan Rhodes, Barry Bannan and George Boyd as well as former Celtic players Gary Hooper and Glenn Loovens.
Wednesday will open their Championship campaign at Preston on Saturday, August 5.
